GeoPura’s initial focus has been off-grid, temporary and back-up power, essentially diesel generator displacement, using low-carbon hydrogen via GeoPura’s proprietary Hydrogen Power Unit (HPU). The HPUs are manufactured to a GeoPura design by our partner Siemens Energy at their Newcastle facility, and employs an industrial fuel cell, UPS and batteries to deliver critical, zero-emission “energy as a service” to our customers across a wide range of use-cases from construction to film and TV production, to outdoor events. Existing clients include Netflix, BBC, HS2, Balfour Beatty and National Grid

Following significant Series A investment, bringing in world class partners General Motors, Siemens Energy, Barclays Capital and SWEN Capital partners (Giants of industry, manufacturing and finance back UK green hydrogen pioneer GeoPura with £36m investment – GeoPura) GeoPura are expanding and looking to hire across the business

GeoPura’s world class in-house R&D team are working at the forefront of zero emission technology, contributing to designing and implementing innovate technological solutions for next generation zero emission power provision. GeoPura are now looking to hire the right candidate to implement and manage improved organisation, process, and systematic approaches across the R&D team. The Project co-ordinator role will be a key position within the R&D team and has the potential to evolve and grow with the business once systems have been designed and implemented

Key activities of the Project co-ordinator role

Successful candidates will be expected to work and support the engineering team in the following areas:

  • Assist the Chief Technical Officer (CTO) in day-to-day activities of running the R&D team
  • Assist the Project Managers and Project Leads in day-to-day project monitoring activities
  • Monitor project and team documentation (schedules, design reviews, team meetings, document control)
  • Manage R&D team procurement in liaison with the purchasing and accounts department. Implement order tracking system and order sanity checks
  • Work with suppliers to monitor progress of orders, build relationships and ensure delivery dates are met
  • Organisation and management of R&D team training (booking, recording, suitability, finding providers)
  • Monitoring and organisation of R&D team Workload Management system
  • Organisation and management of R&D team PPE and tooling
  • Management of R&D data filing system

Requisite skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft office packages
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to hold accountability for yourself and the team
  • Confident at reporting and analysing information
  • Great people management skills
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and self-motivated with the ability to work with limited guidance or supervision
  • Ability to self-prioritise and work autonomously, accurately, and speedily when required
  • Flexible approach to working within a dynamic team
  • Full driving license

Desirable

  • Previous experience working within a technical function
  • A technical qualification
