GeoPura designs and implements decarbonised energy services using zero-emission fuels. Through the provision of innovative technology and commercial solutions, we aim to enable the decarbonisation of our global economy. GeoPura has a particular interest in developing fuel cell power generation products, low-carbon hydrogen production, and hydrogen carrier technologies and methods. Working in partnership with Siemens Energy to provide this delivery of renewable, zero-emission energy, GeoPura is growing at a significant pace. With experience in providing zero-emissions power to a wide range of industries – from construction to film and TV production, to outdoor events – GeoPura harnesses hydrogen technology to generate and distribute the vast amount of clean energy required for widespread decarbonisation. Current clients of GeoPura include Netflix, BBC, HS2 and Balfour Beatty.
GeoPura is seeking a ESG Manager to join the team. The role will report to the Chief Financial Officer and will primarily focus on embedding GeoPura’s ESG strategy across the business.
Responsibilities:
- Develop ESG Strategies: Design and implement ESG policies and frameworks aligned with organisational goals and industry best practices.
- Sustainability Reporting: Prepare comprehensive ESG reports for internal and external stakeholders, adhering to international standards
- Data Collection & Analysis: Gather, analyse, and report on environmental, social, and governance data to track performance and identify improvement areas.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal departments (finance, legal, operations) and external stakeholders (investors, regulators,) to drive ESG initiatives.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct ESG risk assessments to identify, mitigate, and manage risks related to climate change, supply chains, and regulatory compliance.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the organisation complies with global ESG regulations
- ESG Benchmarking: Monitor and assess the company’s ESG performance relative to industry peers through benchmarking tools and metrics.
- Carbon Footprint Reduction: Lead initiatives to reduce the company’s environmental impact, including carbon footprint, energy use, and waste management.
- Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR): Oversee the implementation of social responsibility programs, such as community engagement, diversity and inclusion efforts, and philanthropy.
- ESG Training & Awareness: Educate employees and executives on the importance of ESG principles, driving a culture of sustainability and ethical governance.
- Investor Relations: Communicate the company’s ESG strategy and performance to investors and shareholders, highlighting sustainability metrics and future goals.
- Innovation & Best Practices: Stay up to date with ESG trends and innovations, advising leadership on best practices and emerging opportunities.
- Sustainable Supply Chain: Work with procurement teams to ensure suppliers adhere to ethical, social, and environmental standards.
Desirable Experience:
- ESG, sustainability, corporate responsibility, or related fields.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with ESG reporting frameworks, data analytics, and sustainability management software.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to present ESG initiatives and reports clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to analyse complex ESG data, identify trends, and present actionable insights.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
