It was fantastic to be recognised at the inaugural Hydrogen Awards last week which took place on 23rd February, hosted by the University of Warwick at The Slate on their Coventry campus. Our Chief Commercial Officer, Rebecca McLean and Marketing Director, Tiffany Scott were in attendance to represent GeoPura having entered two award categories for our industry-leading technology and on-site deployments.
A total of 16 awards were presented, covering categories including the use of hydrogen across industry sectors, in addition to looking for excellence in the production, storage, distribution, and marketing of hydrogen, as well as training and development, installation, service and maintenance specialists, and innovation or developments in legal, financial, and professional services for the sector.
The judging panel at the event comprised of Ian Constance, CEO of the Advance Propulsion Centre; Sharon George, Course Director at Keele University; Jon Hunt, Hydrogen Manager at Toyota; Jenny Kavanagh, Chief Strategy Officer at Cranfield Aerospace; Dr. Michaela Kendall, CEO of Adelan; Faye McAnulla, Programme Director at HyDEX/ERA/H2 GV MIDS; Harsh Pershad, Head of Hydrogen at Tevva; and Ben Richardson, UK&I Lead Stationary Fuel Cells at Bosch.
GeoPura was awarded titles in the Utilities and Construction categories, as well as receiving the Outstanding Achievement Gold Award for practical deployments of our Hydrogen Power Unit (HPU). The judging panel noted success from the Hydrogen Power Units on building sites and film and TV sets in our submitted case studies for off-grid power supply.
